July musings

We went to the Wausau Tea Party on the 4th to take videos and photos. It was interesting and I was interviewed on one of the local television stations. That was very interesting, hope I didn't come across as a total nut. I have never been so concerned over the direction of this country as I have been over the past 5 years. Each day seems to bring us further down the road to certain destruction.

So I have been taking an interest in the founding documents of our Nation. There are only about 7 pages total to our Declaration, Constitution, and Bill of Rights, we forget the freedoms that have been hard won by our fore-fathers. Take a few moments and Thank God for all our blessings.

Weekend Update

The weather is great here today, we are staying home for the day. Cleaning the house in expectation of Mac's mom and Bill to arrive on Monday. This will be their second visit this year. It will be good to see them. We are planning to go to one of Chance's baseball games with them next weekend.
We went to Wausau both on Thursday and last night. We had to eat at the Texas Roadhouse last night. They are always busy, and the food is great. We are setting up for video making, so had to buy a new hard drive for storage.
On Thursday we went to a meeting in preparation for the July 4th Tea Party. We plan on taking photos and video taping the event. I am planning on creating a crazy hat to wear, it ought to be fun.

I have the week off, so cleaned a little, rearranged furniture. Invited the youngest granddaughter to spend a couple of days. Being a four year old is much different then it was when my daughter was that age. Grandpa worked extra long yesterday, so was able to get off early today. We went to the clinic and had lunch with Grandpa. Now we are "resting" then we plan on visiting the park/zoo. Will take some video and make another DVD. I made one of the boys from Memorial Day that turned out cute. So I have been having fun doing that.

Also found out last night that I am finally going to be a Grandma. Nick and Brittany are due in January. What fun! Too bad they are so far away.

It is spring!!! My job has changed yet again. It seems that as so as I am feeling comfortable with the way things are a change is made. Oh well, at least I have a good paying job that I mostly like.
We haven't been doing a whole lot lately, but seem to be staying busy. We are learning to create mini movies with the video recorder. imovie makes it easier, but I am having trouble figuring out how to edit the clips.
I have been making necklaces and earrings; it is a lot of fun and fairly easy, but like anything else it takes supplies. So I have been doing some shopping. The only place in town is Walmart, so I will have to make a trip to another town to shop.
I am trying to set up my computer so that I will visit this blog more often. Hopefully I will start to post more often. Hello to all and remember I love you all.

Sunday musings

We have had a busy week, I went for a physical last week, had my medications adjusted. My mammogram came back abnormal, so I went in for an ultrasound on Monday. I ended up with a biopsy done, but it came back negative. Mac's Mom and Bill came up on Monday and have been spending time visiting and shopping. They went to Waupaca to visit the great-grandchildren one day, and plan on leaving today. We had a lot of fun and a lot of good food, Helen enjoys cooking and we enjoy eating.
Chance qualified for state wrestling finals a couple of weekends ago. So we went to Green bay and spent the weekend, we watched him in the regional tournament. A couple of his friend also qualified for state. We went down Friday night and got to the Alliant Center in Madison, WI about 8:30am Saturday morning. Chance did very well, he won his first two matches which got him into the metal rounds. Although he wrestled very hard, he was not able to win the next three matches. He came in at sixth place in the state at 63#. We are very proud of the way he handled himself this year.
Today, Helen and Bill are leaving, we are sad to see them go. It doesn't seem that we had much time to visit, so we went out to our favorite breakfast spot, "The Patio". Had a nice breakfast together and have been visiting for a couple of hours. They are going to stop in Waupaca to visit the great grands, and then back to Memphis.
Tomorrow will be back to another long work week, so today is catch-up day. The fun of house cleaning and laundry.

Vacation

Hello everybody,
Mac and I took all of last week off and didn't do much except hang around the house for the most part. I did go to Hudson and met Natalie. We spend two days together, hanging around the hotel, shopping, watching movies. It was a lot of fun. Its hard to believe my little girl is 25 years old. I wish she lived a whole lot closer.
I came home on Monday, then Mac and I spent the next few days together; just puttering around the house. We went to the YMCA a couple of times. The crosstrainer is harder then it seems! But I did finally manage to last for 10 minutes.
On Friday, we went to Wausau for a marriage retreat, it was a lot of fun. It was Friday evening and Saturday morning, then we headed to LaCrosse to watch Chance wrestle on Sunday.
He did pretty good, he was wrestling boys that were older and ranked high in the nation. He won two and lost two. It was pretty intense. On the way home we took some back roads and stopped to photograph a few barns.
So today it was back to work. Hope all have a good week.

Its been awhile since I last posted; so here is a little of what we have been doing. First our internet connection was down for about a week. We have been busy most weekends. One weekend Mac preached at our church due to his friend, Barry having had some heart problems since about the first week of December, He has been in the hospital several times having stents and angioplasty done along with alot of testing done. We went to one of Chance's wrestling matches. Have done the whole Christmas; holiday deal. Eating too much food too often. Haha. and so much for going to the gym. Both Mac and I have been too busy or too sick to make it to the gym at least three times a week. So we are going to start trying again this week.
This weekend we went to the Twin Cities to meet a couple of friends for the weekend. We had a lot of fun. It is something we should do more often.
So it is back to work again tomorrow. Hope you all have a good week.
