New stuff

An entire week has past since my last post, a lot has been happening. Work of course continues to be very busy. Our friend Barry was in the hospital twice this last week; he went in first for angioplasty and stent placement; after he was released on Thursday; he was brought back as he had more chest pain, and lost his eyesight for awhile. Please pray that he has no further trouble with his heart. Today, Mac will be giving the message at church.
Yesterday, I slept in late and then puttered around the apartment finding a spot for things. The upstairs is mostly done, only a few little odds and ends to put away and pictures to put up on the walls. We have a lot more wall space here, so we should be able to get our pictures out of storage now. It will almost be like a home again. I will be able to get all my apple stuff up on the walls in the kitchen, that will be nice. So this week the plan will be for the downstairs; at least the mattresses are out of the hallway now. More later. Audrey

Well we finished the move. Yipee!!! Don't know why I keep thinking we need a different place. At least this one should be big enough. We finished cleaning up the other apartment, so now all that is left is to clean this place and find a home for everything.
So tomorrow it is back to work. I don't know where the time goes, but Nick will be having a B-day in two days. Happy B-day Nick. Hope you and Brittany are enjoying married life. Not much else to talk about today.

Moving day

The day arrived; cold, windy, and snowy. Not the best day to move all of our stuff, but with the help of Jon, Joni, Paul, and Chance,we have most everything moved over to the duplex. We just have a few odds and ends left at the other apartment. Tomorrow we plan to finish up by moving the rest and cleaning up the old apartment. It is nice to have all of this room. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs; it is a split level. The upper level has the living room, kitchen with dining room and a half bath. We have a deck outside which is reached via the patio doors in the dining room. There is a washer and dryer in the bathroom downstairs. It kind of reminds me of the house in MN. Not as big of course, but a similar floor plan. The second bedroom will be the new Memphis room, it already has pink and blue curtains and the walls are the right color of blue. I will have room to put up my apples in the kitchen. I think it will be good for us. More room and even if it was a lousy day to move it is now mostly done except for the fun part of washing out the cupboards and putting everything away. Hope everyone is staying warm!! I am going to have a cup of lovely tea and relax for a while. We have the bed put together, so that is the main concern for tonight.

Hello all,
This is my first attempt at a blog. Is has been a rough couple of weeks at work. I am a hospice nurse in and around the area of Marshfield, WI. It is both rewarding and emotionally draining. This is the reason I am creating a blog today, I am too tired to pack for the move we are making tomorrow. It is a move from an apartment into a duplex about 100 yards away, but it is too cold and windy this weekend to look forward to the idea of a move. It is also the eighth time I have moved in the last 9 years. You would think that I would be organized and down-sized enough to make it a breeze, but that just is not true.

The cable guys just came and caught me in my fuzzy PJ's, I think he was embarrassed !!! But like I said too cold and too tired today. What a hoot! Wish me luck on the move. It will be nice to have more space; a person would think that two people would not need much room, however, Mac has a lot of photo equipment. Only three cameras at this time, plus the laptop and assorted accessories. An then I have started collecting items for Altered Art, which I am really enjoying. So we have out grown our space. The American Dream--more stuff than space.
